Nothing is more tired than someone making excuses for not updating in a while (omg, sorry this vlog/blog/blargh de blah took soooOOoo long to come out!), so I won’t!
I have no excuse, and I’m happy I took a break.
I started writing this newletter as a way to a.) write more and b.) actively practice more positivity, and I’ve been doing both while not writing new newsletters. Thank goodness!
I often have a hard time taking breaks. Even when I am doing something ‘relaxing,’ it’s easy to turn it into another opportunity to be productive. Cook something and learn a new recipe! Take a walk and get those steps in! Learn a new skateboard trick! No, a cool one! Skating down a slight incline is not cool!
I love writing, and I like this newsletter. I like having a space where I can babble a bunch of nonsense about myself and feel accomplished. I don’t like putting my normally salty nature aside to write about hope and optimism, but like exercise (gross), it makes me feel better afterwards.
That being said, everything right now is tiring; I’m not going to ruin my happy moments by forcing myself to write about them.
But I’m back (for now)! Here’s some things I’ve been doing on my break:
1.) I’ve cultivated deeper friendships than I had previously.
2.) I’ve enjoyed skateboarding more.
3.) I’ve taken more walks.
And a few more things that I did just for me!
What are you going to do today that’s just for you? Don’t tell me! Don’t tell anyone! Give yourself a present that’s just for you.
Thanks for reading! Have some shameless self-promotion:
I was on the latest Titas and Tea podcast! I say some smart shit! Go listen.
